Wheeler Driving School is a locally owned and operated business serving Beavercreek and the neighboring communities for over 30 years. Our commitment to our students is to equip them with the skills and awareness needed to become safe and responsible drivers.
Wheeler Driving School was started in 1981 by an Ohio State Patrolman named Wheeler in Englewood, Ohio. Wheeler opened the Beavercreek location in 1984. Ron Stott took over the business in 1986 and has been instructing teen drivers for over 30 years now. Ron, a Marine Corp Veteran who served in Vietnam from '65 to '66, is dedicated to investing in our local communities. That is why you'll see Wheeler Driving School sponsoring local high school programs such as football, soccer, softball, basketball, among other sports and school activities in addition to organizations such as The Fraternal Order of Police, etc. Over the years Wheeler Driving School has operated with locations in Trotwood, Xenia, Vandalia and Troy.
In 2015, Ron sold the Vandalia and Troy locations to one of his Vandalia instructors who now operates those locations under the name of Wheeler Driving School T.V. LLC. Ron continued to operate the Beavercreek location with the help of his son-in-law and Beavercreek instructor Rob Bowman. In October 2016, Ron stepped down as president and Rob assumed that role for the Beavercreek location. Ron continues to instruct students while Rob seeks to build upon the success and tradition the community has come to know Wheeler Driving School for in training the next generation of drivers.
